You
know what I hear these days? ‘‘PRECIOUS EZE, WHAT IS GOING ON WITH YOU? YOU
HAVE CHANGED, YOU NO LONGER WRITE THE WAY YOU USED TO DO THAT GOT US LOVING
YOU, WHATS HAPPENING TO YOU’’?
And
I will just laugh inside my heart with excitement that atleast, people
recognize my impact, but..........hmmmmm will these people be there for me when
I am being SOWOREED?
Look
at the Publisher of Sahara Reporters, Omoyele Sowore for instance, has everyone
but a few, not abandoned him? Is he not facing his life’s challenges alone?
How
many days did those supporting and JINGERING HIM ON stay on the line before
they got tired and went on sabbatical?
Where
are the PLACARD CARRYING PEOPLE who converged initially at the court premises
singing and chanting ‘’WE NO GO GREE OOOOO, WE NO GO GREE’’ and after a few
days, their HIGH BLOOD PRESSURES calmed down, leaving the victim to suffer
alone?
Today,
no one is putting up his pictures anymore. No one is uploading his name again,
no one is carrying placards or standing on the streets or in front of the law
courts during his trials anymore and people are still asking questions as to
why we had to take cover?
I
remember during the Presidential electioneering campaigns, a lady whom I used
to respect very highly and who is now an official of Ekiti State Government,
threatened me with the State Security Service, SSS, for holding an opinion
different from hers, an incident I am yet to forgive her for, because I
respected her too much and enough that I didn’t know nor believed she could say
such a thing to me and in public for that matter.
But......with
what is happening to Sowore now, people like me have had to buy, or borrow,
some senses so our enemies won’t rejoice over us for having opinions they feel
are contrary to theres.
I
believe very strongly that this piece answers all the questions and hopefully
too, assures you guys that I am still me, but don’t want the OMOYELE Sowore
treatment yet, because you people won’t be there for too long.
