Multiple
award winning filmmaker, Dickson Iroegbu has made his way back to the Nigerian
film industry, Nollywood with another blockbuster movie, ‘The Good Husband’.
Dickson
is one of the prolific directors Nollywood has and as the best in his craft,
his absence from the scene for a very long time made movie lovers believe he had
taken some form of break to concentrate or divest into other things, but little
did practitioners know he was cooking, and now, the food is ready to be served,
which is, “The Good Husband”.
Though
very timely, The Good Husband” demystifies the issue of marriage and companionship
especially now, when the rate of divorce and separation is gradually taking the
front-burner, where marriages are no longer seen or taken seriously, howbeit,
in the movie industry popularly called Nollywood. The movie x-rays the
relationship between a man and a woman and their ability to keep working on it
as it is a lifetime union, which takes as much time to unravel it
workabilities.
