SHOULD WE NOT ALL HAVE A ‘’NED NWOKO’’ IN OUR FAMILIES?

Prince Ned Nwoko.

Ned Nwoko is a man who means different things to different people, some hate him, while others love him, an attribute that shows he is not only a human, but one with a personality to be reckoned with.

I am an example of the fact that regardless of how much you try to please people, NEVER WILL YOU SUCCEED IN MAKING SURE THAT EVERYONE IS SATISFACTORILY PLEASED BY YOU, so, why bother trying to please, when you can just do your best and allow posterity to judge you.

This is the attitude I have adopted, and I’m certain it’s paying off and paying for a lot more who pay no direct concert to people’s dislike for them, but have continued to do their best even in the midst of huge hostility.

Prince Ned Nwoko is a man whose influence and or maybe, affluence are felt both home and abroad with Programmes, events and projects scattered all over for the betterment of not only his people, but everyone around him.

A former member of the House of Representatives, from 1999 and 2003, who represented the Aniocha North-South and Oshimili North-South Federal Constituency and infact, the first from his community to hold such a post, who also holds the record of being the very first Nigerian to visit the South Pole, Antarctica.

He is one man who stands very tall amongst his equals, having achieved far more than his peers in Politics and in business, as a role model whom the youths from his community admire and love.

Charity we are told begins from the home, therefore, it is impossible for anyone to make meaningful impact in society if he is not being felt hugely at his starting point, which is his immediate environment and this is what Ned Nwoke stands for, with some of the developmental projects he has brought to his community.

I am told Prince Ned Nwoko was instrumental to the tarring of Idumuje-Ugboko road by govt in 2008-10.

He single-handly funded the repair of same road in 2019 to the tune of 100,000,000;00.
He has brought in a University called, STARZ UNIVERSITY located in his hometown, Idumuje-Ugboko, a gesture everyone who desire development should applaud, as the project would made Idumuje-Ugboko a tourism centre in the Niger-Delta.

Ned Nwoko I am also told has awarded scholarships to over 300 Students including young children of the late Obi (king) of Idumuje-Ugboko both in secondary and tertiary institutions of higher learning, provided employment to numerous indigenes of the community.

STARZ UNIVERSITY when fully completed, would at take-off, not only provide employments for the sons and daughters of the community, but will give opportunities for children of the poor to get free education and more scholarships.

Personally, I believe that the worth of a man is not measured by the sound of his name alone, but by the sound of the things he does, especially for his people, an attribute Ned Nwoko has demystified and has continued to do.

So, if in the cause of being himself, that is, being NED NWOKO, he may have stepped on toes as all humans do, should he not be given some respite being that he is one of the shining lights of the same community he is working so hard to put on the world map?

I believe very strongly that, a Ned Nwoko is all communities would mean more developments and his kind of development is what I would crave for if he is from my community.

NB: WATCH-OUT, I WOULD BE ACCUSED OF HAVING COLLECTED OR PAID SOME DOLLARS, BUT WOULD IT BE A BAD IDEA TO BE PAID??
