The
Senator representing Lagos East Senatorial District in the Nigeria's Upper
Legislative Chamber, Senator Sikiru Adebayo Osinowo, has praised President
Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State for leading the
country and the state creditably in the face of different challenges
confronting the country.
Senator
Osinowo disclosed this on Friday, 29 May, 2020 in a statement issued on his
behalf by his Media Office while congratulating them on the anniversary of
their inauguration as President and Governor respectively.
"President
Buhari and Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu have been giving us inspirational
leadership and I am happy with the way they have led us," he said.
Senator
Osinowo, who is also the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Industries, said
that the greatest challenge facing the country in the last one year has been
the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic in which he noted that the All
Progressives Congress (APC) administrations at the federal and state levels
have acquainted themselves creditably.
"The
President and our Governor have done creditably well particularly in the face
of the challenges posed by the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic.
"The
proactive reaction of the government at federal and state levels and the daily
update presented to Nigerians are clear indication of a government that knows
its onion," Senator Osinowo said.
The
Senator urged Nigerians and Lagosians not to relent in supporting the
government at federal and state levels, saying the APC administration will
continue to put in place measures and programmes that will enhance their
welfare and well-being.
