The organizers of the Eko Grassroots Governance Awards, has nominated the Executive Chairman of Bariga Local Council Development Area, LCDA, Hon. Kolade David Alabi as one of her recipients in this year’s edition of the yearly award ceremony, created to not only showcase, but celebrate ground-breaking achievements of people making impact in and outside government.

According to Mr. Dozie Nwankodu, Publisher of THE REVIEW JOURNAL and Chairman of the Award Organising  Committee, the nomination of Hon. Kolade David Alabi was after the careful scrutinization of his achievements as Chairman of Bariga LCDA by the Panel of Judges for the 2020 EKO GRASSROOTS GOVERNANCE AWARDS and found him eminently qualified to be awarded with the EKO GRASSROOTS GOVERNANCE AWARDS as 'THE MOST OUTSTANDING COUNCIL CHAIRMAN OF THE YEAR IN GRASSROOTS GOVERNANCE AND DEVELOPMENT' for the Lagos East.

Furthermore, taking into cognizance, Hon. Alabi’s giant strides in the sectors under review, which were considered inspiring, and symptomatic of an administration desirous of success against daunting challenges, the Panel of Judges again, unanimously decided that as a worthy ambassador of Local Government administration in not only in Lagos, but in Nigeria, he would also be honoured as 'THE LAGOS STATE MOST OUTSTANDING COUNCIL CHAIRMAN OF THE YEAR IN GRASSROOTS GOVERNANCE AND DEVELOPMENT'.

It is therefore worthy of note that his performances are not to be neglected as a role model groassroots politician who has in the last three years of becoming Chairman, demystified political leadership at the lower level of governance, coupled with the fact that he is a shinning example to his colleague Chairmen across Nigeria, being the National President of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria, ALGON.

The awards would be presented as would be communicated.
