Reports which have been confirmed say he died of Covid-19 complications, as he battled at the forefront in the battle against the pandemic in the state.
Meanwhile, the governor of the state, Rotimi Akeredolu is battling to save his own life, after testing positive to the virus and is on treatment.
May his soul rest well.
