IKOSI-ISHERI LCDA CHAIR, “MAYORESS SAMIAT BADA” SHARES LOVE AMONGST 2000 RESIDENTS, GIFTS FOOD ITEMS TO THE ELDERLY & WIDOWS.

The Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Isheri Local Council Development Area, Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada on Thursday put smiles on the faces of more than 2000 residents of the LCDA by distributing food items to them.


The distribution which happened at the council’s secretariat, is the monthly welfare package tagged Operation Feed The Elderly/Widows Initiative, the brainchild of the Mayoress and the July exercise is the fifth edition since the Mayoress was sworn in as the council Chairman.
The beneficiaries of this month’s edition of the Food Palliative Initiative were seen lined up with strict adherence to protocols of covid-19 to receive their packs from the Mayoress, with the Deputy Mayoress, Alhaji Mukail Adisa and the Leader of the council's Legislative Arm, Hon. Usman Ajibola Akanni on hand to help with the distribution.

The beneficiaries largely made up of aged men and women, widows, members of community development associations, Hausa and Igbo indigenes resident in the council area.

The food packs contain rice, beans and garri, as they were all chosen across the seven wards of the council.
