Former Legislator, Ned Nwoko Conferred With An Award Of Excellence By The Delta State University, DELSU.

Former Member of the House of Representatives and Chancellor of the Stars University of Sports, Idumuje-Ugboko, Delta State, Prince Ned Nwoko has been nominated as a recipient of the “Award Of Media Excellence and Innovation” by the Delta State University, Abraka, Delta State.

In a letter personally signed by the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Professor Andy O. Egwunyenga, the school said that Ned Nwoko’s choice as the first awardee of the institution was unanimous as no single Deltan has demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to education, mobilization and empowerment of youths and women as well as sustainable development as he has, in addition to championing malaria eradication in Africa through the Ned Nwoko Malaria Eradication Foundation.

Furthermore, as the great patriot that Ned Nwoko is, he has continued to make tremendous impact in the world by attracting global attention to African issues while making huge personal sacrifices to finding lasting that will benefit, not just the current generation, but generations yet unborn. 

The Vice-Chancellor said that the award is coming on behalf of the Governing Board and Management of the University, as it is the first in the 28th years existence of the school and would be conferred on him on the 26th of September, 2020.
