Judgment seem to have come against a serving Senator from Adamwawa State, Senator Elisha Abbo as the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory has awarded up to N50 million in liability against him.
The court opined that Senator Abbo should pay the sun of 50 Million Naira to Osimibibra Warmate, the woman he assaulted on camera as a shop where he had gone to buy se toys in March 2019.
Justice Samira Bature condemned Senator Abbo’s conduct as a federal lawmaker, saying he had failed to live by example as the Senator has asked his lawyers to appeal the ruling.
The
civil judgment came weeks after a magistrate’s court found the senator not
guilty of criminal assault.
