The attention of the Catholic Archdiocese of Owerri has been drawn to reports that the kidnapped Auxiliary Bishop of Owerri Archdiocese, Bishop Moses Chikwe has been killed by his abductors and wishes to set the records straight.
According to a press statement by the Archbishop of Owerri, Most Rev. Anthony Obinna and signed by the Assistant Secretary, Rev. Fr. Nnaemeka Njezi, the Archdiocese requests the disregard of such false news.
The information according to them is false, unconfirmed, misleading and did not come from the Catholic Archdiocese of Owerri. So, the Archdiocese is asking all to join them in prayers for the release of Bishop Chikwe and his driver, Ndubuisi Robert.
