The Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo has disclosed that the wife of the president, Mrs. Aisha Buhari is known for her forthrightness, truthful and same time, controversial.
This he disclosed through his Twitter post on Thursday after her book launch in Abuja.
The Vice President wrote; “Nigeria’s First Lady, Aisha Buhari, is known for her forthright views – crisp, truthful and every once in a while, controversial.”
“Over the years, she has touched and highlighted salient points
in conversations exploring issues that concern Nigerians such as: Good
governance, Security, Welfare, Quality education, Army pensions, Drug abuse as
well as the violation and victimization of women.”
“Chronicling
her journey from childhood to wife & mother, Dr. H. Sanni’s book highlights
her evolution from silent supporter of her husband’s political ventures to
active mobilizer & campaigner, who played an indelible role in selling
President @MBuhari to the Nigerian electorate.”
“The book also covers the “Future Assured” Initiative, which promotes women’s health issues and girl child education.”
