Former Chief of Staff, Imo State Government and former Governorship candidate, Ugwumba Uche Nwosu had on the 9th of April 2021 stumbled on the viral picture of one Mary Daniel from Kogi State who was seen hawking bottled water on the streets of Lagos on Social Media despite being an amputee and immediately started a search on her and in less than 24hours, discovered she hawked at the popular Oshodi market.
Uche Nwosu arrived Lagos on Sunday after he had got her contact details and had breakfast with her where she narrated how badly life has treated her and her desire to open a provision store to carter for herself, her only child and her aged mother.
In his usual self, Uche Nwosu raised One Million Naira (N1,000,000.00) to enable her setup a provision store in Lagos through his friends like, Prince Ben Odunze and Barr. Steve Asimobi, Senior Legislative Aide to Rochas Okorocha and others.
Mr. Nwosu also called on Nigerians to support Mary Daniel and others who are facing challenges across the country.
Mary Daniel is 26 years old and from Anyigba Local Government
Area in Kogi State said she had an accident at age 11 which led to the
amputation of her right leg.
