Former Nigerian President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan has been appointed a Special Crises Envoy by the United Nations, UN.

This role is similar to the one held by the former UK Prime Minister, who was appointed Envoy for the Meddle East, for European Union, United States and Russia.

Dr. Goodluck Jonathan would be the first African former Head of State to be assigned this high profile international tasking responsibility.
