The national Leader of the All Progressives Congress and former Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tunubu yesterday, the 20th of November, visited the Senator representing Abia North in the upper chambers, Orji Uzor Kalu as they both nurse the desire to run for presidency come 2023.
It was said that the meeting between the two political bigwigs was held under closed doors but as an Aide of Senator Orji, Kenneth Udeh reported online, the reason for their meeting is yet known to newsmen, but it might not be unconnected with political and economic reasons.
Precious Eze’s Blog gathered that shortly before they engaged in the meeting, Kalu expressed his gratitude to God for Bola Tinubu’s speedy recovery and had returned back home after undergoing knee surgery in London..
The
visit comes amidst talks that both men are positioning for the 2023
presidential election to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari.
Senator Orji Uzor-Kalu wrote on his facebook
page, “My brother, long-time friend and fellow Political associate, Senator
Bola Ahmed Tinubu early this afternoon paid us a cordial visit at my Abuja
residence.
“We spent more than four hours discussing the
security, unity and progress of the country.
“We also used the opportunity to reflect on
other issues of national importance. God bless Nigeria,” he
disclosed.
