First City Monument Bank, FCMB To Have A Big Showdown With Nigerian Youths Over The Banks Maltreatment & Labeling Of The Youth Market As Fraudsters.

There are reports that First City Monument Bank (FCMB) has in a very big trouble and in a massive loss of customers after a letter from them leaked containing information to treat young people under ages 18 and 30 as suspects of fraud.

The bank was said to have issued the letter due to the ban of Cryptocurrency in Nigeria by the central bank of Nigeria.

The bank in the letter, informed her staffer members to interrogate customers and inform compliance whenever an account with high volume transactions is operated by individuals between the age brackets of 18-30 years as signatories is noticed.

Other account types with similar discriminatory guidelines include youth savings accounts, business savings accounts, personal business accounts, amongst others.

The bank did not define what constitutes a high volume of transactions, but the account types listed captured all of its available packages for Nigerian youths.
