The member of the House of Representative, representing Badagry Federal Constituency, Hon. Babatunde Hunpe has come out clean and removed him from a political entanglement which suggested he had a hand in the removal a the leader of the All Progressives Congress in Badagry, Hon. Sunny Ajose.
According to a press statement released by his office on the matter, the House of Reps member, Babatunde Hunpe says, “My attention has been drawn to a malicious write-up going the rounds particularly on the Social Media which posited that "the Apex Leadership in Badagry Federation has to be reorganized, saying that after serious deliberation by stakeholders of APC, it was decided that Hon. Sunny Ajose should be relieved of his position as the Apex Leader", going ahead to further list the names of some leaders out of which the possible replacement could be taken and my name was listed among such leaders.
Babatunde Hunpe says he want to vehemently dissociate himself from the malicious and purported write-up in its entirety and state that he is not yet qualified to be an Apex Leader even in his Ward not to talk of Badagry Federation.
I was not aware of any APC stakeholders meeting where such decision was taken, if at all there was such meeting.
The lawmaker claimed that those behind this hate agenda does so for their selfish interest and should show their faces and let the good people of Badagry see them. It is by then we would know the level of their stake in Badagry APC, but I believe, they are mere distracters and should be disregarded.
Stating further, Hon. Babatunde Hunpe says those
behind this story should be reminded that before Hon. Sunny Ajose assumed the
position of Apex Leader in Badagry Federation, the party has not been doing
well, in terms of winning elections, to the extent that we were termed or nick
named " BAD AGREEMENT". He is the one who came and turn things around
for the party and we became BEST AGREEMENT, as all elections are being won
since he became the Apex Leader - the records are there.
