A former Women Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos and first female Deputy Speaker of the State’s House of Assembly, Hon. Adetoun Adediran, has died.
Adediran who died in the early hours of Wednesday, 5th of January, 2022 after brief illness at age 51, served between 1999 and 2003 as the first female Deputy Speaker of the Lagos state House of Assembly.
She represented Surulere Constituency 1 at the House of Assembly for 4years.
After her tenure expired, Adediran was appointed to serve in government parastatals before being appointed as State Women Leader of Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) and then All Progressives Congress (APC).
It was gathered that Adediran fell sick only for two days before her death today.
