The death of Nollywood veteran Actor, Romanus Amuta has been announced, immediately as the burial of another veteran actor, Sam Obiagu, popularly called Daddy Sam, was coming to an end.
Romanus Amuta rose to limelight in the Popular Nigerian Soap Opera ‘The Masquerade’ where he played the role of ‘Natty’. The Veteran actor’s death was confirmed by his son, Chukwuma Amuta.
We recall that Amuta disappeared from the acting scene after developing Stroke in 2009. His health was being managed quietly until his demise yesterday.
Speaking on the development, Chukwuma told newsmen: “My father died this morning in Lagos after a protracted illness”. Aged 79 year old, he hailed from Ukana, Udi LGA of Enugu state.
Amuta is survived by a
wife and Children. Burial arrangements will soon be announced by the Family.
