Earlier today, reports emerged to the fact that the former governor of Lagos state, Akinwunmi Ambode has openly spoken on the governorship election that will determine who the next governor of Lagos will be in 2023, as he took to his twitter page to tell youths in Lagos most especially those in Lagos to get their permanent voters card in preparation because the youth is coming to take over power.

This is coming on the hill of the declaration of the young man who wants to become the Governor of Lagos State, named, Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran, popularly known and called, Jandor by some of his followers, who after his declaration to run on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP has become more popular in Lagos than any other, going by the fact that he is likely to get the ticket of the party to run against Ambode.

The former Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode appreciated people for supporting his contributions to the growth of Lagos and noted that it can only get better for the state, as people see this as another move against Governor Babajide Sanwoolu who is likely to contest for a second term in office on the platform of the APC.

Ambode Wrote: “After all we have been through, God has been faithful. Thank you for the overwhelming endorsement of our modest contributions to the growth of Lagos. It can only get better for Lagos, and indeed Nigeria,” Ambode wrote.

“The youths are coming. The power is in their hands. Go and get your Permanent Voters Card (PVC) ready. Your future is NOW!”
