The Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, has set up an arm of the church or department which would be in charge of political affairs and governance, tagged, Office of the Directorate of Politics and Governance.

According to a memo in circulation an signed by Pastor J.F Odesola, and written to all the provinces and parishes under the church, wrote to notify them that a new department which would be headed by the pastor in charge of Lagos Province 12, Pastor Timothy Olaniyan, has been created and would be known as the Directorate of Politics and Governance.
This department is to help coordinate the engagement of members of the church who are willing to be involved in Politics as well as mobilize support for them when required and this was to be carried out within a week of receiving the memo.
As it is, the RCCG is poised to gather support for it's members across the country in politics or seeking elective positions.
