The incoming Governor of Anambra State, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo has likened this year’s lent to a divine coincidence with his swearing in which is happening very soon.
He took to his Social Media
platform to eulogize Ndi-Anambra, as he urged them to use this period very
well.
He wrote: Ụmụnnem, it's
another Lenten season. For me, it can only be divine that this period coincides
with our transitioning into the next administration, reflecting the actual mood
required for serious takeoff.
In the light of our faith in
God and humanity, the period of Lent reminds us of the ephemerality of life,
and the need to make each day of our existence count. As we commence this
solemn journey of faith, let's commit ourselves to the mortification of all
things evil. Let's remind each other of the need to "die empty" -
- holding back no good to the benefit of
Society.
May we continue to reflect on the need to leave this Society better than we met it. God bless us all Immensely.
