2023 PRESIDENCY: Considered The Emergence Of A Rabiu Kwankwaso & A Peter Obi Presidential Ticket From The NNPP?

Rabiu & Peter.

The news of the dumping of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, by the former governor of Anambra State and frontline contender for the presidential ticket of the party, Peter Obi came to a few people as a rude shock, with some feeling very disappointed in him, especially with the kind of faith they had reposed in him.

But there is a twist to whole resigning from the PDP and his meeting with the strong man of Kano politics, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, who is tipped to the presidential candidate of the newly formed New Nigerian People Party, NNPP.

The NNPP, a congregation of many political associations, including a faction of Peter Obi’s former party, the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA and some of the deregistered political parties my the INEC, meaning that he still has his room in the new party.

So, when on the June 2nd and 3rd the National Convention of the NNPP is held, and Rabiu Kwankwaso picks the presidential ticket of the party, there are every possibility of Peter Obi emerging the Vice Presidential candidate of the party, which would mean that the presidency clamour for the South-East is nearing its destination.

As Vice President, Peter Obi would have a chance at the national level to make contributions to show his worth as an economist, especially to hold the already crumbled economy from crashing completely.

Peter Obi’s meeting with the possible presidential candidate of the NNPP, Rabiu Kwankwaso yesterday immediately after dumping the PDP was well calculated and with the support of the youths, the NNPP would be glad to not only have him as a member of the party, but have him alongside Kwankwaso as Vice President, an opportunity he may never get in the PDP.
