“Precious Eze’s Blog” reports that former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has emerged the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) after he defeated eleven other aspirants at the party’s presidential primary election National Convention at MKO Abiola Stadium in Abuja.
Atiku pulled 371 votes to defeat his closest rival, Governor Nyesom Wike, of Rivers State.
A total number of 774 were accredited delegates for the primary election from the 36 states and FCT who voted in the election.
You would recall that the
Governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal stepped down and asked his support delegates
to vote for the Vice President.
other contestants are, Anyim Pius Anyim scored 14 votes, Emmanuel Udom 38, Bukola Saraki 70, Bala Muhammed 20.
