The detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu has appealed to those behind the senseless killings going on in the South East to stop it forthwith, as according to him, this is what the Igbos are not known for.
This message is contained in a note sent out by Nnamdi Kanu’s younger brother, Prince Emmanuel Kanu who wrote and I quote, “Nnamdi Kanu is saddened by the reports of Killings across the South East, as he does not believe in bloodshed and felt too bad that bloodsuckers have been on the prowl in the South East almost unchallenged”.
Emmanuel says that his brother, Nnamdi Kanu is of the opinion that “all those behind the current killings in the South-East must be held accountable for their atrocities, as Ndigbo are not known for cannibalism, demanding the immediate release of one Mrs. Ukamaka Ejezie popularly known as Mama Biafra, who was arrested during Mr. Kanu’s last court appearance in Abuja on May 18.”
According to Nnamdi Kanu, Ukamaka Ejezie had been acting as his mother since his parents died in 2020 and the old woman committed no crime for coming to Abuja to solidarize with him at the court when she was arrested.”
“Kanu
saw her at the DSS detention cell after her clothes were washed and spread on
the wall and demand that she be released because she committed no crime, saying
that she is an old woman and since my mother died I have taken her as my
mother, so the DSS should release her.”
