Kafilat Ogbara Defeats Incumbent House Of Reps Member, Rotimi Agunsoye, Former, Bush Alebiosu, Others To Clinch APC’s Reps Ticket In Kosofe.

The Commissioner in the office of the Lagos State Audit Service Commission, Hajia Khafilat Ogbara has beaten Hon. Rotimi Agunsoye of the House of Representatives, and former member, Bush Alebiosu hands down to clinch the All Progressives Congress, APC ticket to represent Kofose Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.

In the keenly contested primaries that had the heavy weights in the constituency, including an incumbent, the lady, who pulled 44 votes, had the support of all the LGA and LCDA Chairmen around. 

The incumbent member of the House of Reps, Hon. Rotimi Agunsoye was nowhere around the venue of the primaries, including Hon. Bush Alebiosu who handed over to Rotimi. 

Unfortunately to everyone loyal to Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the godfather of the Lagos politics has been busy fighting the battle of his life to get the ticket of the APC at the National to meddle in local politics in Lagos now, especially that of an ordinary Federal constituency.

Ogbara is the National Coordinator, Women in Nigeria for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu (WIN4ABAT) and Lagos State Secretary, Southwest Agenda for Asiwaju Bola Tinubu (SWAGA’23). 

Though a former member of the People’s Democratic Party, who recently joined the APC, but has the goodwill of the leaders in Kosofe, especially the LGA and LCDA Chairmen, who had the control of the local delegates, things turned in her favour, being that the very pride and arrogance of Rotimi Agunsoye, made them fall out with him.

A reporter with “Precious Eze’s Blog” had been at a political event where the Chairman of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA, Princes Abolanle Bada shunned both him and his supporters who came to make troubles for her in her domain.

Bush Alebiosu on the other hand, was on a revenge mission, and to make sure that Rotimi, who took the ticket from his never got it and the two of them didn’t get, but a women, a new comer in their midst disgraced them politically in Kosofe.

Some of the LGA and LCDA’s in support of Khafilat Ogbara were, Mayor Osinowo for Agboyi Ketu LCDA, Moyosore Ogunleye for Kosofe LGA, Abolanle Bada of Ikosi-Isheri, and others,

Speaking after the primaries, the Chairman of the panel, Mr. Fuad Oki described the election as peaceful, free and fair.

He stated” By the powers conferred on me, I want to announce Hajia Kafilat Ogbara as the candidate of the All Progressives Congress for Kosofe Federal Constituency, after scoring the highest votes of 44. She is hereby declared the winner and returned elected.”

Khafilat in her acceptance speech, thanked leaders and members of the party in the federal constituency for supporting her to emerge as the party’s candidate, saying that amidst the presence of delegates and hundreds of her well-wishers, Ogbara Kafilat promised to provide an effective representation that will progress Kosofe Federal Constituency.

We only hope that Asiwaju would not return from Abuja to change some of the victories the people had won, particularly, Khafilat Ogbar, being that he is favourably disposed to Rotimi Agunsoye and had mentioned that legislators were free to spend as many years as possible.
