KOSOFE FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY: Frontline Political Figure, Yetunde Arobieke Reacts To Rumours Making The Rounds About Her House Of Reps Ambition, Obeys Party Leadership.

Yetunde Arobieke.

The Honourable Commissioner in charge of the Lagos State Ministry for Wealth Creation and Employment, Otunba Chief Mrs. Yetunde Arobieke, has reacted to stories making the round that she has withdrawn from participating in the Kosofe Federal Constituency House of Representatives election.

Speaking exclusively to “Precious Eze’s Blog”, Arobieke who was the first female and pioneer Executive Chairman of Agboyi Ketu Local Council Development Area, LCDA, said that “Look Precious, I am glad you reached me to confirm these speculations before going to press, but I must state very equivocally that I am a Commissioner today in Lagos and my boss, the amiable Governor of the state, my brother, Babajide Sanwo-Olu still needs my services, why would I resign in my first term as commissioner and because I did not resign, that would have been enough reason for the speculations, but yes, I did not resign and that was for sure.

So, I didn’t step down for anybody, but simply obeyed party leadership and that was it.

Asked if she had withdrawn from the House of Representatives race, she said that “due to consultations with the leadership of the party in the state and the fact that I believe in the party leadership, I have yielded to the decision of the party in Lagos, because to me, party is everything to us in Lagos.

Commenting on the rumours too that she has been sick, Chief Mrs. Yetunde Arieke says she is hale and hearty, in good health and today, I was in my office in the ministry of Wealth Creation and Employment.

I am not sick Precious and as you can hear from my voice, do I sound sick to you?

I am very well and by God’s grace, I will continue to be fine.

Digging further, this platform learnt that Arobieke’s residence was thronged by hundreds of her supporters who were there to urged her to run for the election, but she has taken the decision not to because the party has asked her to remain as a Commission and she is still being appealed to at the moment to drop her ambition as she still has a second chance to stand in for the primaries and going by what we learnt, she deserves it.
