The marriage between Nollywood actor, Funke Akindele and musician, JJC Skillz has hit the rocks, few days after her announcement as the running mate to the PDP’s Governorship candidate in Lagos, Abdulaziz Olajide Adediran, popularly called, Jandor, though the crash happened a long time before now.
This
is the third or the fourth marriage of Funke that is crashing, making her on
the same league with Clarion Chukwurah and maybe, Shan George, who were before
now, the actors with the highest number of failed marriages, but the issues are
as it is, unfolding and though, this platform is not given to unveiling the
real reason for the crash, but we are compelled to give to our reading
audience, the truth that “Precious Eze’s Blog” is aware of.
While Funke and JJC Skillz were reported to have aparted ways for over two years now, the stepson, Benito was quick to blow the matter out of proportion, informing the public that they, both Funke, his stepmom, and his dad, JC Skillz were cheating with each other, while they were busy trying to give public impression that all was well with their marriage, even as they try to manage the intrigues, but the husband, JJC Skillz coming out to make the statement first, goes a long way to state that even Funke herself was tired and ashamed that this is happening again.
He
wrote, “Dear friends and family, I need to let you know that Funke and I have separated.
While it lasted, we shared a lot of things together and have created 2
beautiful children. The last two years have been extremely difficult for us. I know
I have tried my best to fix things but I believe it is beyond repair now. 3
months ago at Funkes insistence, I moved out of the house and apart from AMVCA,
we have not been able to get Funke to sit down in an amicable manner to discuss
the future of our relationship. I’m making this announcement so that the public
is clear that we both are pursuing separate lives. We still have issues that
needs to addressed such as the custody and wellbeing of our children which is paramount as well as
business interests which need to be to be disentangled but I have no doubt that
these will be resolved one way or the other”.
These
issues are really very serious issues, especially coming out at this time, when
Funke Akindele’s name has been mentioned as the Deputy Governorship of the
Governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, in Lagos, Abdulaziz
Olajide Adediran, Jandor, and the infidelity issues surrounding the both of
them brings the question mark on the both of them.
So,
this crash shows to some of us who look up to these people that what they put
out for us to see, may not be exactly what it is, using them as a yardstick for
anything is as useless as it is.
