Lone PDP Senator In Imo State, Francis Ezenwa Onyewuchi, Dumps Party, Joins Peter Obi In Labour Party.

The Billboard.

The Senator, representing Imo  East in the upper legislative chambers, Senator Francis Ezenwa Onyewuchi, who was a member of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, has dumped his party, to join forces with former Governor of Anambra State and Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party of Nigeria, Peter Obi to salvage not only his people in Imo, but in Nigeria.

Onyewuchi, according to information available to “Precious Eze’s Blog” quietly defected to the Labour Party on Friday, June 17, 2022 and has emerged as the party’s candidate for the 2023 Senatorial contest.

According to an Aide of his, “They are done with the defection and are presently on their way back to Abuja from Owerri,”.

Labur Party has announced that more political heavyweights are on their way to the party. A tweet on Saturday from its official handle @Official_LPN said:

“You’ve got no idea what’s coming!

“Top big wigs including HOR and Senators have all quietly joined the Labour Party, awaiting the big reveal.”

Political analysts see Senator Onyewuchi’s defection as a big blow, not only to PDP but also to the party’s leaders in Imo, particularly, former Imo State Governor, Rt Hon. Emeka Ihedioha, and incumbent PDP National Secretary, Senator Samuel Anyanwu (Sam Daddy), both of whom hail from Imo East.
