The Society of Digital Newspaper Owners of Nigeria, SDNON has announced 28th of October 2022 for her annual conference. The event which debuted last year had some of the big players in the media and advertising industry.
In a statement signed by the Public Relation Officer, Gbolahan Adetayo, and made available to journalists in Lagos on Friday, revealed a list of five planning committee members for the event holding in Lagos.
The Executive of the regulating body for online publishers have approved the appointment of Ifetayo Adeniyi as the Chairman, and Funsho Akinwale as the Vice-Chairman, Planning Committee. The statement further noted that Ms Vanessa Okwara of Lagos Branch will serve as Secretary while Ms Ambimbola Obatayo of Ibadan branch will function as Assistant Secretary.
“The Society of Digital Newspapers Owners of Nigeria, SDNON, hereby use this opportunity to announce the above date for the annual mega summit. Following the huge impact it recorded at the 2021 edition, the Executive decided, `it's important to body hosts the 2022 edition.”
“In other to have a smooth event, the organizing committee has been charged with the responsibility of setting up goals, planning and executing the entire process of having a successful summit, they would also come up with the theme of the convention.”
The committee will meet regularly at SDNON national secretariat in Lagos to take a decision on the subject matter.
Speaking on the event, the National President, Otunba Femi
Davies while charging the committee to work among themselves towards a common
goal, urge the general public, especially journalists, online executives and
other professionals to mark their calendar and plan to attend the conference as
it will be a memorable event of the year.
