AGN President, Emeka Rollas-Ejezie Appoints Patrick Doyle, Charles Inojie, Maimuna Yahaya, Rita Edochie, Grace Ama, 18 Others Into National Summit Committee.

The National President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, AGN, Mr. Ejezie Emeka Rollas, has appointed a couple of Nollywood actors and industry practitioners into the committee set us to oversee the forthcoming National Summit of the association housing all Nollywood practitioners in Nigeria.

The summit committee is to be chaired by veteran actor, Patrick Doyle with Ifeoma Okeke as secretary, with members drawn from across the sector, with the following as members, Monalisa Chinda, Charles Inojie, Emeka Duru, Tana Adelana, Koffi Emmanuel, Blossom Chukwujekwu, Osagie Elegbe, Queen Zoey Ansa, Grace Ama, Ejiro Okurame, Steve Onu, Rita Tony Edochie, Andy Chukwu, Maimuna Yahaya, Jimmy Lot, Joseph Danjuma, Mrs. Ola Daniels, Hauwa Eferemo, Nosa Rex, Kemi Adekomi and Steve Eboh.

According to a press statement by the Communications Director of the AGN, Monalisa Chinda-Coker and made available to “Precious Eze’s Blog” stating that “The urgent need to position the Actors Guild of Nigeria to help improve and develop the acting profession in line with international best practice, has propelled the National Executive Committee of the Guild to organize a National summit in November, 2022. It is to rediscover the uniqueness of the Nigerian motion picture industry and its contributions to the national economy with a view to position the Nigerian Actor for the global market”.

The Actors Guild of Nigeria National summit is aimed at providing the stakeholders platform for effective intellectual discourse in the improvement of welfare packages and all other pertinent issues such as, remunerations, growth and empowerment of the actor and to also proffer solutions and make resolutions that will further enhance the acting profession. 

Renowned practitioners, intellectuals, politicians, high net-worth Businessmen, Diplomats, Investors, individuals are among guest speakers at the Actors summit which would also be an election time for the National Executive Committee, NEC of the AGN as the National President, Ejezie Emeka Rollas sets up a powerful organizing committee of veterans and renowned actors to drive the summit slated to take place in Benin city, the Edo State capital.

Embedded in the scope of the summit is the fact that this event will cover areas which would be used as tool for reshaping the acting profession, with activities of the conference being carefully designed to cover a wide spectrum of knowledge areas, interest and would include Paper presentations, Interactive panel discussions and a communiqué, at the end of the summit.
