Members of the Ibezim family have continued to raise alarm over the disappearance of their brother, Collins, as months run into years.
Mr. Collins Chigozie Ibezim was reportedly rounded up during his annual meetings preparations on October 14, 2018 in his hometown at Ogwa Mbaitoli L.G.A Imo State by the Nigerian Army, after he was alleged to be a member of the outlawed separatist group, Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
The
Army Troops were said to have apprehended him and Brutalized him, which lead to
Mr. Collins sustaining brain injury.
His aged mother, Mrs. Charity Ibezim, a hypertensive patient, on sighting her brutalized son, slumped on the spot.
The youths of the community who witnessed this event rushed her to Federal Medical Center, Owerri (FMC), where the Doctor on duty after inspecting the body, confirmed the Mother dead. She has since been buried.
Family members
insist the whereabouts of Mr. Collins is still unknown.
