Jandor & Gbadebo. |
The Governorship of the People's Democratic Party, PDP in Lagos State, Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, has taken to the cleaners, the candidate of the Labour Party in the state, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, who contested against him for the ticket of the PDP during primaries of the party.
Mr.
Jandor says empathically that he would defeat the Labour Party's
candidate if primary elections were to be conducted between them in the his own
party today, for who would be the candidate of the party in Lagos, same way he
defeated him in the PDP to clinch the ticket of the party in Lagos.
Appearing
on Channels TV's flagship program, anchored by Seun Okinbaloye, with Kayode
Okikiolu standing in for him, Mr. Olajide
Adediran was answering questions on why there was
still rancor between him and the leader of the party in Lagos, Chief
Bode George especially with the supposed agreement they both had that
Gbadebo would serve as his Deputy Governorship candidate, which he later
reneged but in a swift reaction, the PDP's candidate said he couldn't have gone
ahead, even though he (Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour) applied to be his deputy,
work with the same person who did not honour the said agreement and went ahead
to contest the primary election with him.
According to him, regardless of the endorsement of the Rivers
State Governor, Nyesom Wike, who is said to be very close to Chief Bode George,
for the able Governor of Lagos, Babajide Sanwo-Olu of the All Progressives
Congress, APC, he was certain the same Chief Bode George is on his side for the
Governorship of Lagos State.
