The controversy trailing veteran Nollywood Actor, Mrs. Joke Silva over her involvement with the All Progressives Congress, APC's presidential campaign, especially that of the Presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, may not go as soon as she would want, as she has announced her new appointment with the Women Presidential Campaign Council, led by the wife of the Presidential candidate, Senator Oluremi Tinubu.

Joke Silva took to her IG page to make the announcement with a video of herself dressing in an APC attire and wrote, "Flash back to Monday....on my way to the TINUBU/SHETTIMA Women Presidential Campaign Team inauguration.

I am honoured to have been appointed as Chairman of the Creative and Entertainment Industries Committee. It is a monumental privilege to be in such a position considering the ever growing prominence and influence of the Nigeria's creative sector. With so much excitement, I am already envisaging the unprecedented feats what we will achieve together as a people in Nigeria's creative economy. 

Joke Silva is at liberty to such Peter Obi of the Labour Party, or, Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigerian People's Party, NNPP or Atiku Abubakar of the People's Democratic Party, PDP and if she has the right to support these candidates as a Nigerian, why then are people crucifying her for supporting Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress, APC?

With her appointment, she would be the bridge between her sector and the political class, which is a welcomed development for the creative industry.
