KOGI FLOODING: Abiodun Faleke Consoles Yahaya Bello, Donates Materials Worth Over 50M.

Member of the House of Representatives, representing Ikeja Federal constituency and Chairman, House Committee on Finance, James Abiodun Faleke has donated relief materials worth N50 million to flood victims in Kogi State.

Ogbeni Olumide Faleke who presented the items on behalf of the lawmaker, urged the victims to be courageous at this trying time.

In Yahaya Bello, Faleke commended the response of the state government towards assisting the flood victims and expressed optimism that the  donations will effectively complement  on-going efforts  at restoring socio-economic stability in the  affected communities, as he prayed for comfort to those who lost their loved ones to the flooding, appealing to all well meaning individuals and organizations to support the Government in addressing the humanitarian crisis caused by the Flooding.

Receiving the items on behalf of Governor Yahaya Bello, the Director of Protocol Kogi State Government House, Emmanuel Dogwo thanked Hon. Faleke for the kind gesture and show of love to the State and flood victims. He said the items will go a long way to reducing the negative effect of the disaster.

Present at the handing over were Hon. Kashim Mabo, Hon. Mayowa Lewu, Mallam Muhammed Atati, Hon. Kolade Fagbemi and a host of other leaders from the flood affected areas.

Kogi State is one of the States affected by the flash floods resulting from the overflowing of the River Niger and Benue resulting to the destruction of farm lands, houses, and other critical infrastructure, as well as the loss of live.
