Daddy Showkey is one of the veterans in the Nigerian music industry and was one of the top stars in the early 1990s, haven started the Galala dance in Ajegunle area of Lagos.
Recently, at the campaign of the All Progressives Congress,
APC’s presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu with his running mate, Kesshim
Shettima in delta State, one of the prominent Nollywood Actors and a member of
the Tinubu-Shettima Campaign Council, Saidi Balogun had gone to do his usual
video after the campaigns.
On approaching Daddy Showkey, he obliged him the honour, but
immediately Saidi Balogun mentioned APC, Daddy Showkey swiftly exited the video.
Daddy Showkey apparently went to perform at the campaign
rally, collected his performance fee, but didn’t want to be associated with the
All Progressives Congress, APC in anyway possible, which was evident with his
reaction to the video by Saidi Balogun.
