APC Presidential Candidate Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, his running mate Kashim Shettima, Director General of the Campaign Council Simon Bako Lalong and other top leaders of the party on Tuesday 20th December 2022 stormed Calabar, Cross Rivers State for a Town Hall meeting on National Transformation and Industrialization.
Addressing
the meeting, Tinubu said his administration will focus on promoting economic
growth through creation of industrial hubs and harnessing the potentials of all
zones of the country.
He said the
foundation of Nigeria's economic development was not completed because of gaps
in the production chain particularly in the area of oil processing which gave
room for imports above exports.
He said
Nigeria has been blessed with people that have the capacity and ability to
build the nation even in difficult times, saying he will mobilise the nation,
assemble the right people and personally lead the initiatives for industrial
revolution.

Presidential Campaign Council and Governor of Plateau State Simon Bako Lalong
said Asiwaju is a man whose performance in the past gives strong assurance that
he will do what he promises.
He cited
the experience of Asiwaju as Governor of Lagos State which did not only create
an environment for industries to thrive, but ensured that businesses are
supported.
Cross River
State Governor Prof. Ben Ayade said the South South has confidence in the
ability of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to deliver on his promises to promote
industrialisation within the country.
Tinubu also
pleaded with some aspirants including Senator John Enoh, Barrister Mary Epkere
to forgive and close ranks for the victory of the party.
