As we flag off December, the last month of this year, we give thanks for His mercy and grace,

We acknowledge the goodness and kindness He’s shown, and the warmth of His loving embrace.

We are grateful that despite all our faults and misdeeds, He forgave without shadow or trace, 

And we counted our blessings, so freely shared, for the light always shone from His face.

Here we are in December, alive and still standing, still part of His great human race,

Still awed by His kingdom, still freed by His promise, renewed by His word, day by day. 

So, we welcome His power, and expect His full glory, navigating through life’s coming phase,

And as I look back, there’s no doubt in my mind, He alone deserves all of our praise.
