APPOINTMENT GALORE: AGN President, Emeka Rollas-Ejezie Appoints Nollywood Actors, Alexx Ekubo, Grace Ama, Charles Inogie, 25 Others Into Kitchen Cabinet.

The year 2023 started out on a good note for the entertainment sector with bias to Nollywood, as the President of the Actors Guild of Nigerian, AGN, Emeka Rollas-Ejezie, MON, on Sunday, the 29th of January, 2023 announced the appointment of a few actors into his kitchen cabinet to help him navigate his office for the year 2022 and 2023.

According the speech of the AGN President at the event where the actors were unveiled and made available to “Precious Eze’s Blog”, Mr. Emeka Rollas-Ejezie, said, we are here today for some major activities which will help reshape our Guild to meet up future challenges, which are, the presentation of our latest member of the Board Of Trustee, BOT, Joke Silva to the Press and the public, the Re-launch of HMO/ Insurance policy for the forthcoming health/wellness walk slated for the 11th of February 2023 at Teslim Balogun Stadium Surulere Lagos, the presentation of certificate of office to the newly elected National Executive, the presentation of letters of appointment to members of my kitchen cabinet and the re-launch of the highly improved official website of the AGN.

The AGN President went further to say that he appreciates the efforts and good work of those who served with him in the last dispensation of his presidency and that there is no doubt that they were part of the growth of the Guild with their great ideas, thoughts and dedication to duty, as well as welcome and congratulate those who have just been newly elected to the Council, including members who have shown their confidence in his administration by electing them into their respective positions.

Furthermore, Mr. Ejezie went further to encapsulate his leadership thus, “I want to assure you that I am fully committed and willing to deploy my time and resources towards the attainment of our vision to establish and sustain a first-class Guild, managed professionally and responsibly; one that is flexible and adaptable to the needs of its members and recognized and respected locally and internationally. I therefore humbly request for your support and guidance, which would be crucial in bringing about the positive change that we all desire in AGN, as I a resilient AGN with a great future, not only for Nollywood but one that would be a significant part of the transformational journey of our country in particular and continent in general. Thus, the AGN needs to be 'future-ready'. 

We are in the process of making the Guild more supportive and beneficial to our members, the underlying philosophy of our tenure would be hinged on the followings, Membership Development, Structural Projects especially AGN National Secretariat in Abuja, Training and capacity development, Youth Programs, Health Education, Award & Reward Programs.

Part of my objectives in the next three years, is to evaluate and enhance the leadership structure and style of governance. I believe in team work and spirit of “oneness. Thus, I have carefully selected some of the best brains in the Guild to be part of a formidable think tank group of my kitchen cabinet who are leaders in their own right.

Those appointed by the AGN President into his cabinet are, members from all parts of Nollywood and they are, Chief of Staff to the President, Ifeoma Okeke,  Chief Protocol to the President, Agility Onwurah, Chairman, National Task Force, Kevin Uvo, Director of Brands Communications and Relations, Alex Okoroji, Director of International Affiliations, Ufuoma Mcdmmot, Director of Planning and Strategy, Deyemi Okolawon, Chief Press Secretary to the President, Barthlomew Aguugo, SA Media, David Fiase, SSA Military Relations, Steve Eboh, Director of AGN Investment, Carol Hutchings Danjuma, SA on Youth Development, Alex Ekubo, SA on Guild Members Ethics and Intellectual Property, Gideon Okeke.

At the end of the tenure of the presidency of the Emeka Rollas Ejezie’s leadership of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, AGN, he says, “Our voice is important and must be given optimum and reasonable consideration to at all times. So, note that for this administration to be successful, your input as leaders is paramount.
