Enyinna & Ikpeazu. |
Senator Enyinnaya floored Ikpeazu massively in the Abia South Senatorial election held on Saturday, the 25th of February, though delayed. but the major battle was between Abaribe, who is the candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA and the candidate of the Labour Party, Chinedu Onyeizu.
Abaribe scored 49,693 votes to defeat Chinedu Nwaizu of the Labour Party who scored 43,903, while a sitting Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu came far third by scoring 28,422.
"Precious Eze's Blog" got an insider information that this fight for the soul of Abia South was for Enyinnaya Abaribe a payback to Okezie Ikpeazu whom he had asked to give him the Governorship slot after himself, but refused and them, wanted to take his seat at the Senate after serving as Governor for 8yrs. He therefore had to pull all the weight he could muscle to defeat him convincingly.
Okezie would therefore join his mates, Samuel Ortom who was defeated by an APC candidate, that of Enugu who was floored by a Labour Party candidate and Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, who's fate is hanging in the balance right now, as he is not sure where the pendulum would swing for him at the polls come March 11th.
Meanwhile, their leader and Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike is currently fighting the battle of his life bothering on integrity as there huge allegations with voice-note flying in the airwaves.
