Labour Party’s Candidate, Amobi Ogah Retires Deputy Chief Whip Of The House Of Reps, Nkeiruka Onyejeocha 16 Years After.

The candidate of the Labour Party in the Isuikwuato/Umunneochi House of Representatives election, Amobi Ogah, who also is the younger brother to Uche Ogah, former Minister of State for Steel, has retired the almost perpetual House of Reps member and the Deputy Chief Whip of the House, Nkeiruka Onyejeocha.

As results of the Saturday’s presidential and National Assembly elections continued to trickle in, the Labour Party has again recorded another victory, defeating the almighty legislature with 16yrs to her name in the house for the Isuikwuato/Umunneochi House of Representatives in Abia State.

The Labour Party candidate, Amobi Ogah declared winner of the poll by the Independent Electoral Commission on Sunday, got 11,822, as Hon. Nkeriuka Onyejeocha of the All Progressives Congress, APC, came a distance second with 8752 from the total votes cast.

The emergence of Chief Amobi has retired Nkeiruka Onyejeocha who has been occupying the position for the past 16 years.
