How Former Governor Of Cross River State, Liyel Imoke Chased Myself, Florence Ita-Giwa, Bassey Otu Out Of The PDP - Senator Victor Ndoma Egba.

Liyel Imoke.

Former Senate Leader, Senator Ndoma Egba has given reasons why he and other former Senators from Cross Rivers State left the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in the state.

Speaking on Arise News flagship breakfast programme, "The Morning Show", the former Chairman of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, Egba said that it was Senator Liyel Imoke, the former Governor of Cross Rivers state that chased himself, Senator Florence Ita-Giwa, Senator Bassey Otu (who is now Governor-elect) and the present Governor, Senator Ben Ayade out of the PDP.

According to him, Liyel Imoke treated PDP in Cross Rivers State as his personal property, siting an example of when the Presidential candidate of the party, Atiku Abubakar was in the state to campaign and when he touched ground, he asked why some of these prominent Cross Rivarians left the party and Liyel Imoke told him that they've left and we still win elections.

So, according to Senator Ndoma Edoma, "We had to show him that it is the people that win election in Cross Rivers State".
