Nwabueze Lived An Inspiring Life – Soludo, Uwazurike.

The Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, and the ex-President of Igbo think tank, Aka Ikenga, Chief Goddy Uwazurike, have expressed condolences on the death of the former Secretary-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo and a legal luminary, Prof. Ben Nwabueze, SAN, who died on Sunday.

Soludo, in his tribute to the late elder statesman, said his influence extended beyond his home state, noting that he lived all his life inspiring generations of legal minds and citizens alike to strive for a more just and equitable society.

The governor stated these in a statement issued on Monday by his Press Secretary, Christian Aburime.

He said, “As a towering figure in the field of constitutional law and an elder statesman of unparalleled integrity in Nigeria, the legacy of Prof. Nwabueze will forever be etched in the annals of our nation’s history.

“His unyielding commitment to the cause of constitutionalism, justice and equity has left an indelible impact on Nigeria.

“His wisdom and tireless efforts in advocating for democratic ideals have also guided our nation through some of its most pivotal moments.”

Soludo added that the government and the people of Anambra State joined in mourning the loss of the great Anambra son and patriot, whose phenomenal contributions to the state and country will never be forgotten.

“We pray that the Almighty God grant his soul eternal rest as we also extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends, and all who were touched by his wisdom and dedication.

“May his legacy continue to inspire generations to come,” he added.

 Chief Goddy Uwazurike

Uwazurike, on his part, said "It is with sadness that Credibility Group has learnt of the death of the great man , Prof Ben Nwabueze SAN. Yes , a great man by all ramifications! He was called the Oracle of Law by the great Rotimi Williams SAN of immortal memory."

According to him, Prof Ben Nwabueze was a consummate law, a professor of law who insisted on doing a written examination for his LLD, a mentor of many , the first academic to be conferred with the Prestigious rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria, a Secretary General of Ohanaeze, a Minister (Secretary) of Education in Nigeria , a professor of law in a good number of countries.

"It is also worth mentioning that Ohanaeze Ndigbo has lost 3 eminent chieftains recently. Prof Joe Irukwu SAN, Chief George Uwechuo SAN and now Prof Ben Nwabueze SAN. Their memory will last forever," he added.
