PMAN Governor, Ara, Mrs. Toke Benson-Awoyinka.

The Lagos State Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mrs. Toke Benson-Awoyinka has promised to partner with and make her office available to the management of the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria, PMAN in Lagos to help boast entertainment in the city of excellency.
The Commissioner said this during the week when the Governor of PMAN in Lagos and first female talking drummer in Africa, Her Excellency, Queen Ara Olamuyiwa, paid her a working visit, which was her first since her inauguration as Governor of PMAN in Lagos.
Ara told the Commissioner that her mission is to seek ways of partnership between the Lagos State Government and PMAN to further harness the potentials of music artists in Lagos, with the state being the entertainment hub of Africa.
According to the Commissioner, "I am pleased to have you in the ministry and as you can see, I am a member of the family, being a Bobby Benson and I fully understand where you are coming from, but would like to dot the I's and cross the T's when collaborations are concerned as I am ready to work with you as a female Governor to achieve your set out agenda in the Lagos PMAN".
Furthermore, Mrs. Toke Benson-Awoyinka says she is glad the PMAN Governor is seeking that collaboration of the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture and as you have come forward, we promise we would not be found wanting.
Earlier, the Governor of PMAN in Lagos, Ara Olamuyiwa told the Commissioner that the music body is not only ready, but also willing to collaborate with the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, as well as the Lagos State Government to make Lagos retain her position in Africa as number one in entertainment in the continent.
Surprisingly, the Commissioner also promised that the Ministry will be part of the FEMALE DRUMMERS FESTIVAL being organized by the Governor of PMAN in Lagos and holding on the 17th of December at Nike Art Gallery.
