The Nigerian movie industry, otherwise known as Nollywood is bereaved again as the industry has been thrown into mourning following reports of the death of one of her veteran actors, Zulu Adigwe who was said to have died in the evening of yesterday, 23rd of April.
Movie
producer, Stanley Nwoko announced his passing in an Instagram post on Tuesday,
saying, “I regret to announce the passing on a veteran actor. Late Mr. Zulu
Adibe (sic)..What caused his death yet to be reviewed. Rest in peace Good
actor,” he wrote.
Unconfirmed
reports say the actor had been battling with an undisclosed illness
Born
in Enugu, Zulu Adigwe became popular for his role as Mr. B in the now rested
sitcom Basi and Company and had featured in movies such as Issakaba, Top
Secret, Last Ofalla, The Kingmaker, After Dawn, Divided Hearts and City of
Kings.
His
death brings to four, the number of actors that have died in the past 8 weeks
after John Okafor (Mr. Ibu), Amaechi Monagor and Junior Pope.
