The Lagos State government has sealed a popular Oniru Market in the Eti Osa area of the state due to violations of environmental regulations.
Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, revealed this through his official account with a video clip of the market yesterday.
According to Wahab, the state government has actively closed several markets across the state, enforcing its strict policy against environmental violations to address and curb unhygienic practices.
He stressed that in the past years, the state has sealed several markets, only to reopen them when they comply with the state government's directives on cleanliness and hygiene.
Wahab reiterated the state government's commitment to achieving a cleaner Lagos.
