Emeka Ihedioha Led An Exodus Of 25 Top PDP Members From The South-East To Exit The Party.

Emeka Ihedioha.

Former Governor of Imo State and a former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Chief Emeka Ihedioha’s resignation from the People’s Democratic Party, PDP had in the last two days or thereabout, generated a lot of media frenzy, as there had been attributions as to why a high ranking member of the party would wake up and leave.

While others claim he had been presented the olive branch by the Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma, who is said to have promised to hand over to him when his tenure elapses in four year, but had to bring him into the ruling party in the state, the All Progressives Congress, APC  in preparation to his formal presentation to party members in the state.

Others say Ihedioha simply got tired of the in-rangling in the PDP, especially with the way and manner former Governor of Rivers State and emperor of the FCT, Nyesom Wike is being allowed to destroy the party the way he is doing, so, Ihedioha had to make a statement of relevance by moving out with all the powerful individuals in the PDP from the South-East.

Those who resigned the same day with Ihedioha are, Chief Barr Chris Okewulonu - BOT Member, Sir Stanley Ekezie - South East Zonal Officer, Chief Austin Okeke (AEO) - South East Zonal Publicity Secretary, Rt. Hon Obinna Onwubuariri - Frm Rep Member, Barr.
