ONDO 2024: The Clash Of Deputy Governors & The Betty Akeredolu Factor.

Betty with the two Deputies.

It is no longer news that former Deputy Governor of Ondo State, now Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa is the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC in the forthcoming governorship elections in the state of Ondo.

Also, the former Deputy Governor of the state during the first tenure of Rotimi Akeredolu as Governor, who was dropped during the second tenure of the then Governor, Agboola Ajayi today, became the Governorship candidate of the Peoples' Democratic Party, PDP.

What this means is that the fight for the soul of Ondo is now between two former Deputy Governors of the state and while the former First controversial Lady, Betty Akeredolu hates Lucky Aiyedatiwa with passion, it is not clear what her relationship with Agboola Aiaji was when he was her husbands deputy, but with the way and manner she worked tirelessly to make sure Lucky does not become governor, it seemed like she would likely pitch her tent with the lesser evil.

Though it is not in the open as to what her intentions for Ondo State, the state she once controlled for her husband is, but with the way she had been fighting her former husband (being married now to her husbands younger brother) relatives who work for Lucky Aiyedatiwa, it is clear Betty Akeredolu would be working against the quest of Aiyedatiwa to continue as Governor of the state.

"Precious Eze's Blog" hopes Mrs. Betty Akeredolu would not use her influence as a former first lady to disrupt the electioneering in Ondo State by not allowing due process to take its course.

Whatever animosity she has against the person of Lucky Aiyedatiwa should be left behind so power can properly change hands in the state, which is the will of both the people and God, for if it were in her hands, it would never have happened, but the people of Ondo will decide who becomes their Governor.
