EXCLUSIVE: The New Girls REMAND HOME In Lagos Called "THE LIBRARY" Operating As An Elite Club.

The Library Logo.

News has gotten to "Precious Eze's Blog" that there is a club operating in Lagos where hostesses are treated with the worst of treatments as would be required by industry standard in the hospitality sector of the economy.

They are known as “The Library” a trendy, upscale club in the heart of Victoria Island that opens to the elite in Lagos, offers a new way to unlock the night, a state-of-the-art club, a vintage library-themed club with a twist, prepared to offer premium luxurious nightlife and render the best clubbing experience.

The Library maybe all true to its name, the space boasting of scholastic designs with high attention paid to details, but it has a big QUESTION MARK attached to it with the way and matter some of her hostesses are treated as if they are slaves working for their masters.

Infact, exclusive information obtained by this platform has it that it is on the rule book of “The Library” that hostesses who work at odd hours to make sure their clients are well taken care of would not reap the benefits of their labours?

Imagine a hostesses who stays awake throughout the night and “The Library” puts in it their rule book that if a customer gifts such a hostess an appreciation (tips) at the end of the clubbing night, such a hostess is to submit the appreciation given to her by the customer to the company or ask the customer to transfer the appreciation (tips) into the company's account.

Precious Eze’s Blog” is asking the owners of The Library where they’ve seen that happen in the hospitality industry for them to have agreed to not only copy, but include such in the rule book governing The Library?

Some of these hostesses come to work from very far distances, some are even students of highest institution, stay in shared apartments and have families to take care of and in most cases, are bread winners who depend on these appreciations (tips) from customers to get by pending when their monthly salaries are paid and The Library wants them to forego some of these obligations on the alter of keeping to the rule book policies not favourable to them?

This new policy introduction by The Library comes off as slavery and “Precious Eze’s Blog” is calling the attention to the owners of The Library to completely expunge such from their rule book so their hardworking hostesses can breathe.

The Library is said to redefine nightlife in the Lagos metropolis with unmistakable energy driven by music and perfectly synchronized lights but treating those who make some of the quality times enjoyed by the customers with such wickedness to the extent of depriving them the reward for their hard-work would at the long run, affect not only the input, but also the output of The Library.

The Library should not be seen as one of the Girls Remand Homes in Lagos where those around do not have freedom of expression or freedom to earn a decent living, but should encourage girls who prefer to work for their wage to earn decent living wages, both official and unofficial like in the appreciation (tips) mentioned in the holy rule book.

current management is selfish as hell… told hostess… not to bring their elite clients so they can’t get personal tips.. ideally I’d to grow from a hostess to a club PRO but no the don’t want growth among the workers, they want them as slaves which sucks

Even when a tip is dropped or given to a hostesses after all the effort they put into making sure the costumers enjoyed there time in the club, the coordinator splits the tips of the hostesses and takes the bigger share and the managers dose nothing about it.

I vividly remembered the last time I was at the library club. We just left an occasion and decided to club. We got there and the hoestesess were like we are on slippers we can’t come in. My friend asked who can we speak to ? The hostesses said we should wait that they will call the person incharge. The person came out, a smallish looking girl wearing glasses. She said we don’t allow slippers, shorts sleeveless and hoodies. Not long before she said that some guys walked in with slippers and shorts the bouncers opened for them. I asked her why are they going in with shorts and slippers and we can’t? She said they are friends of the owners. I said so because we are not friends or the owners we can’t go in???? She frowned her face and said no you can’t. My friend got pissed and told us to leave, so we left.

I remember going to the club, the hostess that attended to me was extremely kind. When leaving the club I asked for her number and also I wanted to tip her for her kind hospitality. Only for the hostess to say and no thanks, she cannot accept it, that it should be paid to the companies account and she also gave me the companies card to call. I told her it was her number I wanted, she said she can’t. So i asked why? She said that’s the policy that if she does give me her number and collect the cash she will get sacked. So I’m not surprised if this came up. I’m a witness.

That’s what happens when you put people that do not know jack about night club business as managers and coordinators, just because the their CV looked good.

Oh, so because the boss is not strict that’s why the Kenyan man who’s clueless about nightlife wants to be strict and came up with stupid rules? You’re moronic for posting this.

Besides every company has its own policy! But wen it comes to the tip aspect the were asked to submit their tip so it can be shared equally amongst all hostesses. Whosoever that published all this lies and false allegations doesn’t want the progress of the company but God pass them! Library is the best company to work with I can beat my chest to it.

So Library joined other clubs on this bullshit lol. It’s crazy and sad because I heard rumors that SECRET PALACE does the same thing too, they even search everyone including the bouncers at the end every working night 😄 tip is universal, it is what makes the job enjoyable but not the staff begs for it tho😁 cos I know they all beg…waiters, hostesses, security everyone!!!
